Our Story

So here is what happened. One night, Mom was giving me a bath and I asked her, “Mamma, can soap bubbles be brown like me?” She smiled and said, “I don’t know. Let’s ask Dad.”

 

Dad didn’t know the answer either, but he told me, “Doc, I will ask people much smarter than me and see what I can find out.” A few days later Dad told me, “No, soap bubbles are not brown, but they can appear in many colors, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.”

 

This made me sad. Dad looked at me and said, “Since bubbles can’t be brown like you, how about we make them sweet like you?”

 

The next morning, Dad made me pancakes for breakfast with syrup on the side in a little bowl for dipping. After just my first bite, I sat up and looked at him. “How about a bath syrup, Dad? It gets you clean but smells like syrup which makes it fun. Can we make that?”

 

And that is just what I did.
